NARA PARK : A Cute Deer Bowing

Peaceful place with deer surrounding. The two best time to visit Nara Park are Oktober/November (fall) and March /April /May (spring). The Nara Park  is open 24 hours everyday.

Is Nara Park free?

Yes, admission is free. Unless you are from Nara Station and you can use their shuttle bus from there. Just pay for 300 yen (i guess). But if you want to feed the deer you can purchase the deer crackers during your visit.

A pack of 10 crackers costs 150 yen. You can feed them as much as you can. So Cool! But they are unpredictable, so be careful :P

What should i wear to Nara Park?

Don't wear flowery clothing/skirts as they may mistake it for food and take a bite out of it! Trust me :P.

Can you touch deer in Nara Park?

Nara's deer are small compared to the deer in other parts of the world. You will probably want to pet then because they are so cute! If they lay down to relax somewhere the might even let you touch them but usually, they will not enjoy being petted.

Why do deer in Nara Park bow?

They bowing for a treats. Only when you bowing to them. Maybe you can refer this video on how they bowing.

Nara Park is a must place to visit when you come to Osaka or Kyoto. One day is sufficient to see most of the sights within Nara. You can do this itinerary starting finishing in Kyoto or Osaka (if you wish). But you might find it more relaxing to stay or night in Nara.

Nara is even closer to Osaka than it is to Kyoto. As is the case with Kyoto, you can choose between the JR Line and the private Kintetsu Line.
